our vision

Our vision is to see HOPECITY as a bridge between belief and practice—where faith is lived out with courage, compassion, and clarity in everyday life.

our values

  • We’re not chasing trends or pretending to have it all together. We’re learning to follow Jesus in real life—work, relationships, doubts, and all.

  • You don’t have to clean yourself up to belong here. Questions are welcome. Messy stories are safe. Authenticity beats appearance every time.

  • Church doesn’t stop on Sunday. We show up for our city with our hands, hearts, and time—because love should be visible.

  • We believe prayer matters and action matters. We don’t just talk about hope—we live it out.

  • No pressure, no pretending. Whether you’re curious, skeptical, or all-in, there’s space for you here.

  • Nobody has it figured out. We’re committed to becoming more like Jesus one step at a time—with grace for the journey.

  • Life is heavy alone. Community isn’t optional—it’s how we survive, heal, and grow.

  • We lead with open hands—our time, energy, and resources—because God’s love is meant to be shared.

  • We believe hope still makes sense—even in hard seasons. God is present, working, and not done yet.

the story of HOPECITY LYH

In October 2019, a group of college students began gathering weekly to seek Jesus, fostering an environment of prayer and sharing stories of hope. Their initial meetings, held in a chapel, were filled with genuine emotions, allowing trust among them to grow. As the group expanded, they transitioned from personal seeking to actively serving their community, reaching out to help neighbors in need. This shift ignited a passion for community service, leading to positive changes in the lives of those they touched. They emphasize the importance of empowering everyday believers to engage in ministry beyond traditional roles, advocating for active community involvement. Ultimately, their goal is to inspire individuals to embrace their identity as children of God and make a meaningful impact through love and service.
