HOPECITY LYH originated from a vision to create a place where young adults can gather under the theme of service and community. Our goal is to represent the body of Christ and intentionally share Jesus with our community by loving our neighbors properly. Additionally, we want to act as a bridge between culture and the local church.

FOR THE CITY OUTREACH embodies the organization’s mission beyond the boundaries of Sunday services. We translate our faith into action by serving others, just as Jesus did. We strive to show compassion, love, and support to our community while actively looking for ways to express God’s love in Chicago and beyond.

We are convinced that God is creating something extraordinary at HOPECITY LYH, and we recognize that it surpasses what our team can manage on their own. It requires the entire family of dedicated, humble, and eager everyday believers to help this community flourish!

We’d love to serve with you! Join a Dream Team!

  • We create spaces for connection through community service events held throughout the year. By serving side by side, we build real relationships, meet practical needs, and reflect the love of Jesus in tangible ways. These moments aren’t just about what we do—they’re about who we become together as a community.

  • FIVE is how we live out our faith beyond the walls of the church. On every fifth Sunday, we pause our regular gatherings and step into our city—serving neighbors, meeting real needs, and showing the love of Jesus in practical ways. This isn’t about programs or publicity; it’s about presence. We believe the church is strongest when it shows up, rolls up its sleeves, and becomes the hands and feet of Jesus where it matters most.

  • Hands & Feet exists for the city and the people in it. We believe the church isn’t a building—it’s a movement of people willing to show up, get involved, and love like Jesus did. Through Hands & Feet, we serve our neighbors, care for the overlooked, and turn compassion into action.
