Not today. We are a parachurch organization. A parachurch ministry is a faith-based organization that comes alongside the local church rather than replacing it. It’s designed to meet specific needs—like community service, discipleship, young adult outreach, or specialized training—that might go beyond what a single church can do on its own. Parachurch ministries usually partner with multiple churches, create space for collaboration, and focus on serving a particular mission or group of people. The heart behind it is to support, strengthen, and extend the work of the church in the community, not compete with it.
How do I get involved?
The first step we encourage anyone to make when they want to connect with HOPECITY VA is to reach out to us and send a message. We will respond and set up a time that you can meet one of our leaders and we figure out together where you can serve with us. After that, we put you to work.
does hopecity va have an office?
Not yet! But if you happen to know someone or have a link to a miracle, give us a shout! We totally get that funding office spaces in a growing city can be tough. Space is always going to be one of those hurdles. Right now, we're gathering at at our home office until we get a place for our HQ!
